Privacy policy

Bagwatch is a private crypto alert and portfolio-tracking service operated by John Foster, a sole proprietor in Florida, United States (“Bagwatch,” “we,” or “us”). This policy describes what Bagwatch collects, why, who receives it, and how to have it deleted.
Information we collect
- Mobile phone number. The one number that receives alerts, entered by its owner in the password-protected control panel.
- Public wallet addresses. Used to read public balances and transaction history. Bagwatch never asks for, receives, or stores private keys or seed phrases.
- Alert settings and history. The alerts that are set, the alerts sent, and whether each was delivered.
- Replies to the alert number. Keywords such as
STOP,START, andHELP, used to honor opt-out and opt-in requests. - Server logs. Our hosting provider records the IP address, time, and page of each request. We use these logs only for security and troubleshooting.
This website sets no cookies, runs no analytics or advertising tools, and loads nothing from other sites.
How we use it
We use this information only to deliver alerts and summaries, run the portfolio dashboard, keep the service secure, and comply with the law. We never use it for marketing.
Who receives it
We do not sell personal information or share it for targeted advertising. We disclose it only to the service providers that run Bagwatch, and each receives only what it needs:
- Telnyx receives the phone number and message text to deliver texts.
- Telegram receives alert text when Telegram delivery is turned on.
- Railway hosts the server and database.
- Anthropic receives holdings and market data, never the phone number, to write the optional daily summary.
- Market-data providers (blockchain nodes and public price services) receive public wallet and token addresses and return balances and prices.
We will also disclose information when the law requires it, such as under a valid subpoena.
Text messaging and mobile information
No mobile information will be sold or shared with third parties or affiliates for marketing or promotional purposes. The disclosures described above exclude text messaging originator opt-in data and consent; that information will not be shared with any third parties.
Retention and deletion
We keep information while the service is in use and delete it when it is no longer needed. Replying STOP ends texts at once. To have your phone number or any other data deleted, email admin@bagwatch.fun; we will delete it within 30 days unless the law requires us to keep it.
Security
We protect information with reasonable security measures: HTTPS for all traffic, a password-protected control panel that locks out repeated failed sign-ins, and service credentials kept in encrypted settings rather than in code. No system is perfectly secure. If a breach of security affects your personal information, we will notify you as soon as practicable and no later than 30 days after we determine that the breach occurred.
Children
Bagwatch is not intended for anyone under 18, and we do not knowingly collect information from children.
Your requests
You may ask what information we hold about you, ask us to correct or delete it, or withdraw consent to texts at any time. Email admin@bagwatch.fun, and we will respond within 30 days.
Changes
We will post any change here and update the date above. If a change affects how we use your phone number, we will tell you before it takes effect.
