Bagwatch SMS alerts: opt-in, privacy, and terms

Bagwatch is a private, personal tool owned and operated by John Foster. It sends automated price and market-cap alerts about crypto assets by text message to one phone number: John Foster’s own mobile phone. It is not offered to the public and sends no marketing.

How opt-in works

John Foster signs in to his password-protected Bagwatch control panel. No one else has access.
He enters his own mobile number as the alert destination in the tool’s settings. Bagwatch can only text that single number; there is no way for anyone else to sign up or be added.
He creates the alerts he wants (for example, "tell me when this coin’s market cap passes $500K").
He confirms by tapping Send test alert in the panel, which texts his phone. Alerts are only sent after this.

Consent is given by the recipient himself, for his own phone, before any message is sent. Phone numbers are never collected from anyone else, bought, or shared.

Opt-out and help

Reply STOP, QUIT, END, REVOKE, OPT OUT, CANCEL, or UNSUBSCRIBE at any time, or ask by any other reasonable means, including email. You’ll get one confirmation text and nothing after that. Requests are honored promptly and never later than 10 business days.

Privacy policy

The only phone number Bagwatch stores is the operator’s own, and it is used only to deliver these alerts. No mobile information will be sold or shared with third parties or affiliates for marketing or promotional purposes. Text messaging originator opt-in data and consent will not be shared with any third parties. Our SMS provider, Telnyx, processes the number solely to deliver the alerts.
